Description
Faustina was born in Poland and lived on a farm. When she grew up, she entered a convent. Sometimes Jesus appeared to her and asked her to tell people all about his great love and mercy. She kept a diary and worked hard to spread his message. After Pope Saint John Paul II canonized Faustina in 2000, he declared the first Sunday after Easter as Divine Mercy Sunday so everyone would know about God’s great mercy.
Saints are real-life heroes of faith who inspire us to become more like Jesus Christ.
