Description
The story of Kateri Tekakwitha comes to life with colorful illustrations and lively text. She lived in an Indian village where her father was a Mohawk chief. After his death, missionaries visited the village and Kateri learned about Jesus. She was baptized and prayed every day. People did not understand her and were sometimes mean, so eventually she moved to a village where she could live with other Christians. Kateri is the patron saint of nature.
Saints are real-life heroes of faith who inspire us to become more like Jesus Christ.
